Piles of placo

Some days we feel we have done lots for the advancement of our project, other perhaps not so much. On thursday, for example, Roger finished of all the rails in Gite B, ready for the plasterboard (or placo) to be attached, whist I began painting in Gite A, which is really starting to look like a house! Yesterday, on the other hand, we received a big (and final) delivery from Chausson, our building merchant (who incidentally are fantastic ). The weather was damp, cool and gloomy, so it was important for us to get everything inside as quickly as possible. Easier said then done when the delivery contains 110 sheets of 120cm x 260cm plasterboard. When we started our project we had a similar delivery for the first barn and over the course of 3 or 4 days we moved the boards indoors 10 at a time. Yesterday it was virtually all in one go….this building does wonders for your muscles! Anyway, here I am sitting on one of the piles, pleased with the job done…

  3. Sooooooo pleased it’s all still going well. Missing you guys, but Sandra and I are up to our eyes in work in the UK until the Christmas break. Keep up the body-building.

P.S. I went to see the Boro v Blackpool game the other weekend – exciting game but we’ve a flawed defence.
