Let there be light!

It was a big day yesterday; Nicolas the electrician has fortunately put the right wires in the right holes and yesterday Gite A looked like Blackpool illuminations…

I’ve never felt so excited about a few light bulbs! Suddenly it is a house and not a barn any more.

Gite B, on the other hand IS very much a barn. But we’ve made a good start this week, putting up the ceiling rails downstairs.

At 3.5 metres putting up the plasterboard on the ceilings is going to be fairly challenging, but we have defininitely honed out technique since we started on the first barn. Reckon we’re going have to do another now we’ve learned how to do it!!

Whilst we’ve been busying ourselves in the barns, we’ve brought our cheap European labour back over to do all those jobs we never have time for…
