Dogs know stuff!

Dogs are clever, aren’t they? Or is that just ours?

Yesterday morning we were off on our usual 8am club cycle ride. The bikes were out and we wanted Boudie to be out too as the sun was shining and there was not a cloud in the sky. But she was having nothing of it. With her tail firmly between her legs she was adamant she wanted in. Once through the door, she made her way straight up the stairs, which she never does – and indeed is not allowed to do – unless there is a storm or fireworks.

So off we went. About 9am a few clouds started to appear, then around 9.30 the sky started to turn black in the distance. By 10am the distance was getting quite close and we were still the wrong side of St Maure. So heads down and with a faster pace we made it home, still dry, around 11.30. About half an hour later the heavens opened, the thunder boomed and the sky lit up. How did you know it was coming, Boudie?
