Au revoir les macons

Virtually every day for the past 7 months we’ve welcomed our masons around 8.30 in the morning. They have become part of our daily routine! So it was with great sadness that today they packed up their belongings, finished off the loose ends and headed off into the sunset for the final time…

Of course, before departing, they were treated to ‘une biere anglaise’, one of Roger’s special homebrews…

They were very polite, as is everyone who tries Roger’s beer, but seem content with a wine glass full, rather than a pint!

Meanwhile, work continues on the barns. The electrician has been and left his mark…

…and Roger and I have now moved our plaster boarding activities upstairs (all a bit more complicated than downstairs!). Oh well, we’ll be experts by the time we get onto Gite B!
